Dorabell (Doris) Reil, age 94, of Middleville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021. Doris was born on December 18, 1926 in Sparta, to George and Henrietta (Cooke) Chrisman. On March 2, 1946, Doris married Joseph Reil and together they shared 58 years until his passing on June 1, 2004. She and Joe enjoyed many winters in Zephyrhills, FL with the Reil family. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters. She loved crafting, camping, practical jokes - both giving and receiving. Her family loved her homemade noodles and burnt cookies. Most of all, Doris loved her huge family. Doris was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Doris leaves behind her family, Nancy and Boyd Bender, Carol and Dan Handy, Susan and Bob Tyner, Joe Reil, Jimmy and Lora Reil, Sally and Ken McDonald, Jess and Karen Reil, Jay and Shannon Reil, Doug and Barb Reil; 30 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Nausieda, Franny and George Bradshaw, sister-in-law, Cleo Chrisman; and many nieces and nephews. Special friends: Kyle Mead, Nicole Schild and Chris Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Private family services will be held and Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mount Hope Cemetery in Middleville.
